Welcome to Classic Car Restoration LLC., a part of the Schaubach Companies.

The Dwight Schaubach Collection is a private collection that contains a great variety of classic and high-performance cars from the early 1920’s up to the latest Cunningham 60^th Anniversary C-8 Corvette.  The most iconic names are represented including Duesenberg, Auburn, Packard, Stutz, Cord, Rolls Royce, Jaguar, Cadillac, Buick, and Mercedes-Benz. Our staff and facility are involved in fabrication, restoration, and maintenance of his collection, preparing cars for multiple show events every year, and hosting events at our location. (See the “Events” section)

Our Current “Projects” are building three pre-1930 Auburn Boattail Speedsters, A Stutz DV32 roadster with in-house coach-built body work, and a V-16 Cadillac Sport Phaeton. We will be posting content on those builds very soon!

In 2023 we expanded our operation to include more classic Mercedes-Benz cars from the 50’s to the 70’s. We purchased Karl Middelhauve’s Classic Car Restoration LLC. out of Wausau, Wisconsin and moved the company to our location in Virginia. Karl started that company over 20 years ago and was the leading expert in the USA for restoration, modification, and parts sales for the Grand 600 Mercedes-Benz (M100) cars and the iconic 300SEL 6.3. The purchase included 21 cars and a huge assortment of parts. – See the “Karl Middelhauve Story” under the “Company” tab for more details and under the “Car” tab, the “Collection” and the Inventory”. We are gearing up to continue that legacy.
